it's simple.

This seems to be my motto lately.
I strive to always recognize the joy in every little detail of life.
I encourage you to do the same.
It's a real mood-changer, I tell ya!

Hope your weekend has been lovely thus far.
Mine has been filled with perfect weather, taking advantage of frappy hour, and procrastinating studying for finals.
{whoops!}
While procrastinating at Target today, I bought index cards to make flashcards.
That's a step, right?
I think I'll start tomorrow...after I attend a fun BBQ in the afternoon.
Maybe...we'll see. You probably think I am a horrible student now.
But never fear, because by the grace of God, I always buckle-down and pull through.
Eventually.

thankful to be busy as a bee.

I feel as if all semester, I have been stuck in a rut.
I am not taking as many units as I usually do, and overall, I just have not been feeling as busy as I like to be.
Don't get me wrong, I completely appreciate relaxation and "taking it easy," but I do enjoy a busier lifestyle overall.
Anyways, there were times this semester when I felt unmotivated, lazy, and unproductive. And I hated it.
But now, with less than one week left before finals and summer, I am feeling more like myself again!
{Funny how that works out...but I am glad to be back in the swing of things}
I feel busy, like I have too much to do, which in turn, makes me happier.
Praise. The. Lord.
This last weekend was so wonderfully busy, and I have a ton of photos to share...enjoy!

Alpha Delta Pi's spring formal on Thursday night...

With my beautiful sister {my real, biological sister...not ADPi sister}

On Friday, my dear friend Kendra came up to visit for a few days! We kicked off the weekend by filling my tires with air {My warning light was on and neither of us knew what we were doing...but whatever we did, worked!}

Friday and Saturday, we went to Jenna's dance show

Clarification: Jenna was my roommate for the first 3 years of college {until I went to London}
Kendra is Jenna's best friend from home.
Kendra also went to London, and is an ADPi sister, thus we have become very good friends.
Kendra surprised Jenna at her last dance show ever! {With it being her senior year}

Frozen Yogurt at Swirl Time with Jenna's family...a tradition we have done for the last few years. {Apparently they didn't want a nice, serious photo like I did! ;) }

We went out to the bars Saturday after the show.

This was actually yesterday. My sister and I decided to skip our class {Yes, we take a class together...we're both dance minors!} and instead soaked up the sun by the pool! I promise we're good students...we never do this kind of stuff. But we had to! The weather was gorgeous and we hadn't used all of our absences... :)

neglect.

I have been incredibly busy these last few weeks, and my poor little blog was the first thing I placed on the back-burner.
I am always thinking of posts I want to write and share with you all, but I simply have not been able to find the time.
I do find a few minutes here and there to keep up on your lovely blogs, however, and I am loving them!
This week is much less busy, and I plan on writing at least a couple posts. I have tons of photos from this last weekend that I cannot wait to share that include: a visit from a dear friend, ADPi's spring formal, and my first time to the bars in Cotati. It was certainly the best weekend of the semester!
Thank you for sticking with me! xoxo

catching up.

I know this is wayyy late, but I wanted to share some crafts I did Easter weekend.
I am not the most crafty person, but sometimes there is something in me that just wants to craft and cannot stop! I headed down to Hobby Lobby and had so much fun purchasing everything for these two projects! {When I was making these, I had no intentions of posting about them, so there are not any photos of the processes and the few photos I do have are not that great. I apologize!}

My cousin's 18th birthday fell on Easter this year, so we had a cake for her during Easter brunch at my house. I made this cute and super easy cake-topper. I also made a simple banner for our mantle to add a little spring flair to our house.

Here are a few more photos from Easter with my family this year!

You're never too old for an Easter basket, right? ;)

Unintentional matching with my Aunt Sandy!

finally.

I have a free moment!
It seems like I have been busy non-stop since I came home from Paris,
and today is my first real "free" day since being back.
 Of course, I did nothing {homework-wise} during my spring break, so I definitely had a little catching up to do.
Last night, my sorority participated in a huge philanthropy event on campus, which was taking up most of my time this week as well.
But now I am all caught up and ready to share a little about my Europe trip!
We all know that what we love to really see are photos, so here are just a few out of the 600 we took...
{and they are kinda out of order, but that's okay!}

Paris: the first photo we took—I was fresh off the 10 hour flight and excited as ever!

Paris: the best baguette I have ever had.

London: St. Patrick's day at my favorite pub!

Paris: it's actually Liz and Grant, but close enough.

Still dreaming of these...

Paris: I am a HUGE Disney fan, so this was a big deal.

Paris: nutella crepe. Need I say more?

just my favorite landmark EVER

London: afternoon tea at the Orangery

London: freezing cold, but the beautiful gardens at Kensington Palace

London: our new purchases

London: Regent Street, my favorite.

Paris: on the glittering Eiffel tower!

I had such an amazing time with Grant! Showing him London was the absolute best, and he was the greatest tour guide in Paris! I felt completely overwhelmed with blessings throughout the whole week.

I am already dreaming of going back to London again...I think it's becoming a slight problem. Don't you wish we could just all travel, without having to worry about doing homework or going to work? I sure do!
